We understand that the data you send to College Physics Answers is confidential and we treat it as such. We will never share the data you send us with anyone except to directly provide and improve the service, or unless required by law.
2. How your personal data is used
Your payment information is not stored on College Physics Answers servers. Payment information is sent directly by your web browser to, and stored by, our payment processor Braintree Payments on their secure infrastructure.
College Physics Answers tracks many of the actions you perform on our website in order to improve the quality of our service.
Like most websites, College Physics Answers uses Google Analytics to monitor and improve our service. Personally identifiable information is not intentionally sent to Google. College Physics Answers may also use other aggregated, pseudonymous, data collection services to help monitor and improve the website, such as Full Story.
A username and your email address are collected during the user registration process. Your email address will never be publicly displayed. Your username is publicly displayed on your public profile page, and on any comments authored by your account.
Your email address will be shared with Active Campaign for marketing purposes. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, and you may request deletion of your email from the Active Campaign server.
Your public profile picture is automatically copied to College Physics Answers the first time you use a social sign in service such as Facebook or Google. This profile picture is displayed publicly on your profile page, and beside any comments authored by your account. You may remove your profile picture by editing your profile.
You may enter the name of your school on your profile. Doing so will result in a link to your username, linked to your profile, being displayed on the profile page of other accounts which have entered the same school. A link to your school will also be publicly displayed on your profile page. You may prevent the display of your username on others' profiles, and prevent the display of your school on your profile, by editing your profile and choosing the option to prevent disclosure of your school.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small amounts of data that we send to your browser that are stored on your computer's internal storage. We use cookies to access information when you sign in, to store your preferences, to keep you logged in, and to store a limited amount of behavioral data. You can configure your browser to accept or reject these cookies.
