We have two parallel metal plates— one is positively charged and the other is negatively charged— and this results in an electric field between the plates and the question is where will the electric field be the strongest and the answer is that it will be the same at all points, the answer is (d) because the illustration even shows us what the strength is based on the density of the field lines and the field lines are straight and parallel in this region where the letters A, B and C are and they are equally spaced and so the density is the same at all these points in other words and so the electric field strength is the same everywhere... it's only at the ends where the electric field changes. Okay... the answer is (d).
